[ABOUT]
[ABOUT]
Florian Mosleh is a technical artist, pipeline developer and creative media technologist whose work focuses on streamlining complex technical systems and helping artists to focus on the creative rather than getting muddled in the technical.
With particular specializations in projection mapping, interactive systems, and generative media, he combines a deep technical knowledge of real-time rendering, shader programming, and pipeline development with an artist's understanding of creative workflows.
His professional philosophy centers on finding elegant ways to harness computer graphics technologies while eliminating complexity and duplication of work.
Florian's current technical specializations span real-time media tools (Pixera, Disguise, TouchDesigner, Notch, Unreal Engine), 3D applications (Blender, Houdini), and programming languages (C++, GLSL/HLSL, Python, Rust). His understanding ranges from first principles of image processing and 3D modeling to complex pipeline development and system integration.
Over two decades in Live Media, Florian has built a portfolio across multiple entertainment sectors. His freelance practice encompasses major touring productions (Alicia Keys, Drake, Eric Church), Broadway theater (Newsies!, Memphis the Musical), broadcast television (America's Got Talent, MTV Video Music Awards), museum installations (Crystal Bridges, Grounds for Sculpture), and corporate events (Canva, Epic Games, Adobe, IBM). Notable achievements include developing and operating AR/XR systems for major sporting events (PGA Players Championship, NBA All-Star Weekend, NFL broadcasts), creating tracking systems for Broadway productions, and serving as a technical consultant on projects that push the boundaries of Live Media technology.
He started his career driven by a passion for music, digital art, and open source media tools. While living in Baltimore, he co-founded a collective of digital artists, with his track "Wax Music Box" being featured in the first season of HBO's "The Wire." Moving to California, he worked at Delicate Production before joining Coolux International, where he learned to apply programming and networking expertise to solve novel problems with the Pandoras Box media server. This role expanded his skill set toward real-time rendering challenges in live entertainment, including GPU shader programming and automation integration. Since 2010, he has worked independently, developing a longstanding collaboration with Klip Collective that has produced major projection mapping installations at venues like Crystal Bridges and Grounds for Sculpture.
A French citizen and US Permanent Resident fluent in both English and German, Florian now lives in the Great Lakes region of Western New York with his partner and daughter.
